Recipe: Chicken Pie with Onion and Thyme
Ingredients:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp instant yeast
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- A pinch of salt and black pepper
Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:
- In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
- Gradually add olive oil and warm water, kneading until a smooth and elastic dough forms.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour.

Prepare the Filling:
- Heat the butter in a skillet, then sauté the onions until soft and golden.
- Add the cooked chicken, thyme, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.

Assemble the Pie:
- Roll out half the dough and place it in a greased baking tray.
- Spread the chicken and onion mixture evenly over the dough.
- If desired, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Roll out the other half of the dough and place it over the filling. Seal the edges well.

Bake:
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Bake the pie for 20-25 minutes or until golden.

- Allow the pie to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
