Recipe: Restaurant-Style Salmon



Ingredients:

  • 2 salmon fillets (about 200g each)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 lemon (for squeezing)
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon:

    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
    • Season both sides with salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  2. Pan-Sear the Salmon:

    • Heat olive oil or butter in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Place the salmon in the skillet skin-side down (if it has skin) and cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy.
    • Carefully flip the salmon and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until fully cooked (it should flake easily with a fork).
  3. Add the Finishing Touch:

    • Squeeze half a lemon over the salmon during cooking for a fresh, tangy flavor.
  4. Serve:

    • Garnish the salmon with chopped parsley and serve hot with a side of roasted vegetables or rice.
